Brian Tai is a self-taught Malaysian watercolour artist known for his impressionistic style and evocative portrayals of street scenes and heritage buildings. Since embarking on his art journey in 2015, Brian has developed a signature approach that captures the soul of urban life with fluid brushwork and atmospheric colour.

His works have been showcased in exhibitions across Malaysia, Singapore, China, and beyond, earning him international recognition. Notable achievements include being a finalist in the 2022 Second Shenzhen International Watercolour Biennale and receiving the 2024 MWS Merit Award from the Malaysian Watercolour Society. He is also an active member of the Singapore Watercolour Society and currently serves as Treasurer of the Malaysian Watercolour Society.

Brian regularly conducts watercolour workshops in Singapore and Malaysia, sharing his passion and techniques with budding artists. His solo exhibitions, including Poetry of Cities (2022), Urban Symphony (2024), and Echo of Lion City (2024), reflect his commitment to preserving cultural identity through art. In 2025, he celebrates a decade in art with Perfecten, his 10th anniversary solo exhibition.
