Guan Sin started her watercolour journey in 2019 to broaden her knowledge of the fine arts. Having limited space at home, watercolour was a medium that is easy to clean and store, and the convenience helped her to build the habit of practicing regularly.

An Architect by profession, Guan Sin believes that the quality of a place is an important aspect of our memories. She appreciates how the process of painting allows her to slow down and see the places she visits through a different lens, bringing out aspects of the atmosphere that she might otherwise not have noticed in haste. Guan Sin hopes to improve her painting techniques with time, to better capture such qualities for others to see and enjoy.
