Loy Chye Chuan, a second-generation Singaporean artist and one of the founding member of the Singapore Watercolour Society, began his watercolour painting journey in 1960. His passion lies in capturing the essence of Singapore's heritage, often focusing on scenes of the Singapore River, kampungs and old streets scene. Though some of these scenes have since vanished but the beauty of these scenes are captured through his artwork.
