Foo Kwee Horng (Art Foo) turned to full-time painting in 2010 after having been an art teacher for 15 years.
Apart from painting, he does part-time teaching to teachers and students of mainstream school and is an external supervisor for the National Institute of Education (Singapore) art teachers and an education facilitator with the National Gallery Singapore. He is also a regular volunteer at Colours of Cambodia, Siem Reap. As a former trained social worker before turning to teaching and now a full-time artist, he feels that art does not only need to look good but it can be used to do good.
