Julie Zhu’s practice stemmed from one that is deeply rooted in the essence of traditional watercolor painting. Technique and intricate detailing possessed majority of her art-making methodology in her last 20 years of practice. She has an inclination towards the pursuit of love, imaginary fields of elation, and the euphoria of all things, flora and fauna.
