In 2007, I discovered watercolour as a medium of artistic expression by accident. Since then, I have spent more than a decade nurturing my love for watercolour. I am impassioned with watercolour as a medium because painting in watercolour often yields unexpected results. I am also inspired to pick up my paintbrush each day to capture human poses and colour in memories that occur so fleetingly in my day. It is an art that is challenging and satisfying. As a painter, we do not always succeed in expressing our vision on paper, but watercolour is forgiving, and the painter always has a chance to try again. I hope that my paintings bring my viewers a sense of peace and appreciation of the beauty in ordinary things.
