Painting was a subject he enjoyed during his school days,
but it was sadly left behind when he started work. A happy
reunion 4 years ago with an old school friend Yew Beng,
who is a seasoned painter, rekindled my interest in outdoor
sketching and painting. Initially these sketching trips
were more social and were reflected in casual lines and
dashes of colour. Over time he became more confident and
he started painting in watercolour.
He also started to pack his sketching/painting gear in his travel
bags when he go on trips with friends and painting kakis .
In 2012, he went to learn the finer points of watercolour painting
with Mr Loy Chye Chuan. The 4 paintings exhibited in this show
reflects his journey, which he hope, will continue for a long time.
