Goh Chye Khee was born in Singapore in 1956. Inspired by art at a very young age, he decided to pursue his interest as a full-time artist in 1990.
He limits his paintings to only 2-3 colours and uses them in a subtle inter-play of shades and tones with fresh perspective, mainly in watercolours. He is also able to master pleasing and bold techniques making them distinctively recognized.
The flexibility of watercolour also allow Chye Khee to capture images of vanishing scenes and trades of Singapore, as well as the new millennium, thus making him a true watercolourist of Singapore scenes today.
