Don Low is born and bred in Singapore. He is currently a freelance illustrator and teaches part time as a Drawing Foundation instructor at School of Art, Design & Media, Nanyang Technological University. He holds a Master degree in Animation and was also a trained engineer in the field of semiconductor fabrication. He sketches and paints for pleasure and is a correspondent for Urban Sketchers, a non-profit organisation based in Seattle formed and dedicated to foster the art of on-location drawing. His sketches are featured in the following books: The Art of Urban Sketching, Urban Sketchers Singapore, and An Illustrated Journey: Inspiration from the Private Art Journals of Traveling Artists, Illustrators and Designers. He has also participated in several joint exhibitions; the most recent was “We Drew the World Together” held at Temasek Polytechnic’s Glocal Connect Village in 2012; and a Changed World Exhibition held at the National Museum of Singapore.
