I have been interested in art since I was small. I started with little crayon drawings which progressed to poster paint pictures. In my late teens, I took up formal art education at LaSalle and enjoyed it tremendously. I completed a diploma in Jewellery Design at LaSalle but also got to try out various other art forms such as painting, batik painting, dressmaking, ceramics, etc. As an adult, I tried out watercolour painting in recent years and discovered that it was a fast medium to work with. I can create small paintings for myself in a short amount of time which is nice. I prefer to paint nature – flowers, trees, water and animals. I am grateful to be a part of the Singapore Water Colour Society and have learnt a lot from observing the paintings and skills of the artists. I hope to keep painting for many years to come!
