Marvin Chew周佑任

Born in 1975, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
Marvin is a Signature Member of National Watercolour Society (NWS), USA. He is the former Vice-President of Singapore Watercolour Society (SWS) and member of Singapore Art Society (SAS).

A Permanent Resident of Singapore since 1998, he has been painting professionally since 2012, primarily in watercolour, as well as in other media such as oil and acrylic. He is currently represented by Cape of Good Hope Gallery and ArtSafe Gallery in Singapore, and has been the brand ambassador of Royal Talens art materials since 2021.

Marvin is well-known for his vibrant watercolours depicting rural villages, street scenes and
urbanscapes of South East Asia. Marvin has held five solo exhibitions in Singapore, participated in various group shows locally and internationally such as the NWS International Annual Exhibitions in the USA, and the International Watercolour Masters in the UK, amongst others.

Marvin’s works have also been featured in art books and magazines such as Splash 17 and 19, The Art of Watercolour, and Paint magazine by SAA. His artworks are in private and corporate collections by individuals, corporations, and government bodies around the world.
